Take a look at the new Mangatha online trailer created by Ajith fans, which is making waves on the internet. The trailer has been etched out of existing stills of Ajith and you can’t believe that it is a fan work, as it looks technically slick.

The two minute trailer showcases Ajith and what the fans expectations are for the Venkat Prabhu directed Cloud Nine produced Mangatha. The trailer has been tightly edited and has tag lines like Business is business until it is personal, A war on survival, “when you change the rules, the game becomes deadly etc. The trailer has created the right buzz around the film. It is a nice teaser to what to expect from Mangatha, Ajiths 50th golden jubilee film. The curiosity factor around the film is sure to give it an earth shaking opening when it releases on May 1.

Three BIG V in Mani Ratnam Movie | Vijay, VIkram and Vishal

A Tamil newspaper has reported that ace director Mani Ratnam is all set to do a mega multi-starrer. The film will have the three big V’s of the industry- Vijay, Vikram and Vishal coming together for the first time! It seems the director is working on the script of the film and will start the shoot shortly.

Earlier there were strong rumours that he is doing the pre-production work of his ambitious period drama Ponniyin Selvan. He was supposed to be making the film with Vikram and Suriya. Mani is very secretive and will neither confirm nor deny any of these stories regarding his  “future projects”. However sources close to Madras Talkies, Mani’s production house has informed us that something big is brewing and an official announcement will be made in a few weeks time”.

"I Alwyas Respect My Work" Nayanthara

A visibly disturbed Nayantara has denied reports in the media that she has confessed bidding adieu to movies to a Hyderabad based magazine. Actress Says that “First and foremost, I have not spoken to any media in the recent past. And I was shocked that the magazine carried a fabricated interview with me, which has been taken by all sections of media including newspapers and Internet”.

“I have always respected my work and prefer to keep my personal matters to myself. Right now, I am busy with the shoot of Sri Ramajayam, which is a lifetime role for me. I have given bulk dates for this film directed by Bapu ji and when the right time comes, I will come out in the open about my future plans regarding films and personal life”.

Jeeva's Ko Movie Postponed to March

Here is the news for Jeeva’s fans regarding his forthcoming release KO. His fans are eagerly waiting for his double treat this month as his two films are scheduled for their releases.

Singam Puli features him in dual roles with Divya Spandana and Honey Rose pairing opposite him as female antagonists. Directed by Sairamani the film is scheduled to hit the silver screens on February 11th, 2011, Meanwhile his other film KO produced by RS Infotainments is likely to be postponed as the production house is releasing their other film Nadunisi Naaygal just a few days before the actual schedule date of KO. It is believed that RS Infotainment is plans to reschedule KO to first week of March.

Sasikumar and Samuthrakani going to Exchange their Roles

Sasikumar and Samuthrakani are going to exchange their roles for Porali. The director will act in the film and Samuthrakani takes charge of direction. Telugu actor Allari Naresh and Ganja Karuppu are confirmed to play other lead roles and rest of the cast are yet to be finalized.

The film will start shooting in April and the official announcement will be made soon. Music is by Taj Noor who made his debut with ‘Vamsam’ in 2010. He finished composing three songs and is working on the next tracks. Porali is coming under his Company Productions.

Shokking Surprise Nayanthara withdrawn from Acting

Now don’t be confused with heroine of Super as Anushka. The one in our context is Kannada movie ‘Super’ heroine nayanathara. Though it could be tough to digest for spice lovers, nayanathara declared that ‘Sri Ramarajyam’ with Balakrishna will be her last movie in career as an artist and it is the decision to retire.

Though reasons for her exit is unknown, internal sources quote that would be husband Prabhudeva might have insisted her to stop showing her oomph quotient as heroine and everything from now on is patented only to this Indian Jackson. Right now, nayanathara has few of the projects to be finished and primary in the list of ‘Sri Ramarajyam’ while Kannada hit ‘Super’ and Malayalam ‘Electra’ along with Tamil hit ‘Yama Kantri’ will be dubbed to Telugu soon.

Kiruthiga Udayanidhi Stalin won the Best Director Award for the film "Life"

Kiruthiga Udayanidhi, wife of leading producer Udayanidhi Stalin of Red Giants, won the Best Director award for directing the short film titled Life.

According to a press release, “the jury of International Cinema Festival of India, Jaipur has through a verbal confirmation informed us that Mrs. Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, has won the Worldwood International Category (Short Film & Documentary) – Best Director Award for her short film Life”.  There were a total of 600 entries out of which there were 100 feature and 500 Short & Documentary films from 13 countries.

Inidhu Inidhu being shown on Vijay TV on February 13

Prakash Raj’s Duet Movies recently released Inidhu Inidhu will be premiered on small screen for Valentine Day. The film directed by cinematographer KV Guhan and is a remake of Sekhar Kammula’s Teugu trendsetter Happy Days.

Inidhu Inidhu is being shown on Vijay TV on February 13, as Valentine weekend special. It is as per the tag line: “A young and peppy story of love, friendship and career, an ode to college life.” Vijay TV is really coming out with immediate telecast of films which appeal to the youth.

Singer Chinmayee dubbed for Karthika Nair in "Ko" Movie

Singer Chinmayee is now becoming one of the hottest dubbing artists in Kollywood. She is lending her ‘voice’ to a lot of heroines who can’t speak properly in Tamil. The latest we hear is that Chinmayee has dubbed for Karthika Nair, the debutant heroine of KV Anand’s Ko.

Karthika plays a fiery investigative print journalist Renuka, who teams up with a news photographer played by Jeeva and break a big story with political ramifications. When contacted, Karthika, daughter of popular yester year actress Radha says “I’m happy that Chinmayee one of my favourite singers dubbed for me. I’m born and brought up in Mumbai, and I can speak only a smattering of Tamil. Renuka the character that I play in Ko speaks in Tamil and English, and Anand sir was very particular that it should come out perfect on screen.”

Vikram, after singing all the songs (male) in Susi Ganesan’s  Kanthasamy, which had music by Devi Sri Prasad, is now once again crooning. The music grapevine is abuzz that Vikram has insisted on singing all the songs himself for Vijay directed Deivamagan.

GV Prakash the music director of the film had recently tweeted: “waiting for Deivamagan audio release. do listen to my favourite, my personal favourite Vizhigalil Oru Vaanavil. The song has come out really well and has potential to be a chartbuster.” However, GV has not revealed who has written the lyrics and sang the song.  Remember GV Prakash-Vijay combo songs have always been chartbusters. The team has come out with some of the best melodies in recent times. Who can forget the lilting melodies of Kireedam and Madrasapattinam!

Hot Girl Navneeth Kaur Tie Knot with Ravi Rana Very Soon

Navneet Kaur, the Punjabi lass who acted as Vijaykanth’s heroine in Arasangam and Karnas’ glamorous heroine in Ambasamuthiram Ambani is getting married. She had fallen in love with Ravi Rana, an independent MLA in Maharashtra assembly.

Ravi Rana is an MLA from Badnera in Amravati district of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. They were both disciples of yoga guru Baba Ramdev, and met at his ashram in Amravathi. Rana and Navneet would tie the knot at Amravati’s Science Core grounds with 2,834 other couples on February 2. The event is expected to create a world record for the biggest mass.

Thoonga Nagaram Movie Review | Tamil Movie Thoonga Nagaram released on January 28

Dhayanidhi Alagiri and his Cloud Nine’s first ever production Thoonga Nagaram has been cleared by the Regional Censor Board in Chennai, with a clean  ‘U’ certificate. The film is likely to release on January 28 worldwide. Thoonga Nagaram is written and directed by debutant Gaurav a former associate of  K.S Ravikumar.

The film is set in Madurai which is known as Thoonga Nagaram or the city that never sleeps. Madurai MP and Union Fertilizer Minister MK Alagiri, Dhayanidhi’s dad is said to have made a cameo appearance in the film. Thoonga Nagaram is a gangster film starring actors who made an impression in their debut  films Vimal (Pasanga), Bharani (Naadodigal)  Nishanth (Renigunta) and  Anjali (Tamil Padam) in the lead roles. The film has some lilting music by Sundar C Babu.

Namitha enter anchoring of television show Jackpot

Namitha, who has mesmerized the audience with her oomph, is gearing up to set the small screen on fire. She has reportedly signed as the anchor of television show Jackpot. Namitha has replaced Nadhiya as the host of the game show. Jaya TV has shown the door for the latter and has roped in the former, says a source.

The TRPs of the show started declining after Khushboo’s exit and Nadhiya stepped in to her place. But she failed to boost the TRPs, which made the channel to replace her with Namitha. Namitha made her television debut with Maanada Mayilada season 1 as one of the judges of the show on Kalaignar TV. This is her second assignment on television.

Tapsee refuesed to act with Big B

Tapsee Pannu, the vibrant Punjabi girl who is making her debut in K’Town with a big film opposite Dhanush, named Aadukalam, is the toast of Tamil and Tollywood filmmakers.Now we hear the actress has turned down a Bollywood offer with none other than Amitabh Bachchan.

Sources said ace Telugu filmmaker Puri Jagannadh is set to begin his Hindi film with Big B from February. After completing his present project, Nenu Naa Rakshasi, featuring Rana and Ileana, Puri is reportedly moving on to his ambitious Hindi film with Amitabh from February. B’wood sources add that the Big B has given Puri the go-ahead and the movie has been titled Budda (old man).

Bollywood star Tabu, who had a terrific chemistry with Big B in Cheeni Kum earlier, has been signed to star with him once again. A report was making the rounds that Tapsee has also been roped in for the project. However, when sources contacted Tapsee, who was in the city for her film’s promotions, she said that she had been unable to accept the project as her call sheet diary was full till the end of April. “Puri sir did approach me for his Bollywood film. But my dates have been booked till April end and I don’t want to make a hurried entry into Bollywood by squeezing out my dates. So, I explained my position and politely declined the offer.”

The grapevine says otherwise, buzzing that she didn’t like the script. She reacted indignantly. “How can it be? I don’t really know anything about it! I didn’t even reach that stage, of listening to the script. I made my position clear while everything was still in the initial stage,” she protested. The actress feels that if she was destined to get into B’wood some day, she’d get good offers.

Sonia Agarwall now forced Selvaraghavan to remarry

Selvaraghavan and actress Sonia Agarwal parted ways after divorce. Selvaraghavan is now directing a film titled Erandam Ulagam. He has fallen in love with his assistant director Gitanjali. Both have decided to get married. There was news that Sonia Agarwal was upset because Selvaraghavan is getting married so soon after their divorce. When asked Selvaraghavan about this, he said,” For the last one year Sonia Agarwal was forcing me to get married.

In fact she took keen interest in me and asked me not to remain single. When she heard that I was getting married to Gitanjali, she was so happy. Even before the divorce with Sonia Agarwal, we both remained separated for two years. Many are asking me that why I am getting married so soon. Gitanjali and Selvaraghavan There is nothing wrong in divorced people getting married again. Gitanjali is a good girl. She has the passion for cinema like me. That is why I have decided to marry her.”

Actor Sarathkumar Break For Film Industry

Actor Sarathkumar has announced that he will take a break from movies, owing to the 2011 State Assembly elections. The actor, who is currently acting in Tamil and Malayalam movies, added that he will complete his movie projects by the end of March and start campaigning from the first week of April.

Sarathkumar, who heads the Samathuva Makkal Katchi, has also announced himself as a candidate in the elections. Sarathkumar had earlier served as a Rajya Sabha member from Tamil Nadu.

Sargunam signed new project with Amala Paul

Amala Paul, who has walked out from AR Murugadoss film recently has been fired from director Sargunam’s forthcoming film. Director Sargunam has signed Amala Paul for his next project opposite Vimal.

But Amala is not attending the shoot, inspite of the director giving many reminders. Sargunam lost his patience and asked her to move out from the film. Now the unit is looking for an actress opposite Vimal. If, Amala continues to do so, it is very much difficult for her to sustain in the industry.

Bhagyaraj debuting in Malayalam in Dileep's new film Mr.Marumagan

Tamil cinema’s legendary script writer turned director and actor Bhagyaraj is finally debuting in Malayalam in top star Dileep’s new film Mr. Marumagan. In the film directed by Sandhya Mohan, Bhagyaraj will play Dileep’s bossy father in law, while Roja will play his mother in law. Bhagyaraj was the man who re-wrote Tamil film script writing in the 80′s and early 90′s and was one of the first technicians to start the trend of director’s turning hero.

Bhagyaraj films were very popular in Kerala and in the later part of the 90′s and early 2000 his script had a big influence on Malayalam script writers. Sibi and Udayan, Malayalam commercial cinema’s leading script writers are writing Mr.Marumagan which will be directed by Sandhya Mohan. The highlight of the script will be the comic clash between Bhagyaraj and current number one hero Dileep, who excels in humorous roles. The heroine will be a newcomer. The shoot of Mr. Marumagan will start from February 17 in Chennai, and the film is likely to release in July.
